This Acetylene Production Plant from MOS TECHNO ENGINEERS is of an advanced design, incorporating several features not ordinarily found in other generators. Acetylene Plant Process
Pneumatically controlled valves perform all operations, assisted by highly sensitive sensors integrated with temperature control instruments. These sensors open the water inlet valve or residue drain valve, as needed. Two hydraulic pumps manage the calcium carbide supply, which screw feed conveyors move into the generator. Flame-proof motors and fittings operate the screw feed mechanism and the agitator.

Our system synchronizes the complete operation to ensure maximum productivity and purity. If an interruption occurs—whether in power, liquid, or air supply—the plant triggers visual signals and an audible alert to notify the operators immediately.
Integrated Safety Systems & Certifications
To maintain safety standards, operators must use only flameproof lights and electrical fittings (per IS2148-68 Group II or BSS-229) within the building. All acetylene cylinders must meet IS 7312: 1974 or ICC:8 specifications.
We designed the entire plant with a “safety-first” philosophy. Flashback arrestors, high-pressure reverse flow check valves, safety valves, and complete gauging protect both your equipment and your personnel. To ensure absolute safety under all operating conditions, we also include various auto controls, auto vent valves, and non-return valves.

Acetylene Plant Design

The MOS Techno engineers have Advance Dissolved Acetylene Plant and Acetylene Gas Cylinder are superior built quality and design, consolidating numerous advantages not usually seen in other Acetylene generators and cylinders. Our Acetylene Plant has fully automated pneumatically controlled valves and highly sensitive sensors that perform an essential operation with the temperature control apparatuses, conduct all operations. These sensors control the liquid inlet valve or excess drain valve, etc. Two hydraulic pressure-driven pumps support to open and close the supply of calcium carbide, which is supplied within the generator by fastener feed conveyors. The fastener feed mechanism and the agitators are determined by fireproof machines and attachments.

Acetylene Gas Plant Ancillaries
Gas Compressor
For filling of the cylinders, and I.R. make reciprocating, oil lubricated, multi-stage, water submerged compressor with intercoolers, safety relief valve for each stage, driven by a 15 H.P. Flame Proof Motor confirming to
IS: 2148-68(Gr.II.B)is provided.
High-Pressure Drier
This consists of a battery of three high-pressure vessels. The first is filled with metal filler, while the second and third are filled with anhydrous calcium chloride. It is very important that the high-pressure drier is loaded up with Calcium Chloride, as any voids in high- pressure area are against the required safety.
Acetylene Filling Manifold
This consists of a battery of 60 filling connections to attach to the acetylene gas cylinders. Non- return pipes are implemented in different segments of the pipeline to the filling manifold. These non- return valves are extremely important for the safe operation of the plant and should be periodically cleaned to remove rust and scales, (iron cause fire). The acetylene cylinder filling pigtails (flexible hose pipes) should also be regularly washed to assure that all do not explode while this filling process, (if they do explosion, a fire would secure due to unexpected release of Acetylene).
Instrument Air Compressor
A flameproof motor with a shield tank drives the machine air compressor.
High-Pressure Control
If all the gas produced cannot be pulled in by the compressor and passed on to the filling manifold, either due to the low capacity of the compressor or fast production, gas pressure will gradually build in the generator. When the gas pressure approaches a predestined level (about 0.5 kg /cm2) carbide charging will be cut off automatically and further production of gas is discontinued.
There is no costly gasholder with the MOS Acetylene Generator. This item simply will decrease the purchase cost in such of acetylene plant. Moreover, as the acetylene generated is constantly at an accurate pressure, the gas transfer cost is also decreased. Since the production is constantly at a positive pressure, (once the plant has been purged with Nitrogen) no air enters the system, and it is this feature that makes MOS acetylene Plant naturally very safe and trustworthy.
Chemical Purifier
This acetylene chemical purifier consists of two courses of regenerative chemicals, which separate additional defilements. The purifying agent may be reactivated for re-use by the environment air. For consecutive acetylene production, one additional assessment of chemicals can be stored in an open wood trolley.
